Yes. Ryda is a Chrome extension available from the Chrome Web Store. It works in Google Chrome and any Chromium-based browser such as Microsoft Edge or Brave. A Firefox extension is in development.

Yes, an account is required so that your profile data can be stored securely and synced across devices. You can sign in with Google or use a passwordless magic link sent to your email.

Yes. The free plan lets you save one profile and use it to autofill on all supported sites with unlimited fills. Ryda Pro (£2.99/month) unlocks unlimited profiles, renewal reminders, and priority support.

Ryda is built and operated by Ryda Ltd., a UK company. We are a small team of developers who were frustrated with the car insurance renewal process and decided to fix it.

Your data is stored in Supabase's EU West (London) region. All data remains in the UK and is subject to UK GDPR protections.

Never. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for any commercial purpose. Your data is used solely to provide the autofill service.

No. The extension fills in form fields in your browser in the same way you would type them manually. No data is transmitted from the extension to insurers or comparison sites behind the scenes.

Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Row-Level Security ensures only your authenticated account can access your profiles. We use short-lived session tokens and never store passwords.

Yes. You can delete individual profiles from your dashboard at any time. To delete your entire account, email privacy@ryda.co.uk and we will permanently remove all your data within 30 days.

Yes. Ryda processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. You can read our full Privacy Policy at ryda.co.uk/privacy for details on legal basis, retention, and your rights.

Ryda supports Compare the Market, MoneySuperMarket, GoCompare, Confused.com, Quotezone, and The AA comparison tool.

Ryda currently supports Admiral, Direct Line, Churchill, Hastings Direct, LV=, and Aviva direct quote forms.

You can request a new site by emailing hello@ryda.co.uk. We prioritise sites based on user demand and typically add popular sites within a few weeks.

We actively monitor supported sites and update our site maps when forms change. You can also report issues via the extension's feedback button. Fixes are usually live within a few business days.

Chrome extensions are not currently supported on mobile browsers. Ryda works on desktop Chrome, Edge, and Brave. A mobile-friendly solution is on our roadmap.

Your profile stores everything a typical car insurance form needs: personal details (name, date of birth, address), driver information (licence type, driving history, no-claims bonus), and vehicle information (registration, make, model, value, usage).

On the free plan you can save one profile. Ryda Pro allows unlimited profiles, which is ideal for households with more than one driver or more than one vehicle.

Sign in to your dashboard at ryda.co.uk/dashboard and click "Edit" on any profile. Changes are saved instantly and will be used the next time you autofill.

When you create or edit a profile, you can enter your vehicle registration number and Ryda will fetch your vehicle's make, model, fuel type, and year from the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry API. This saves you having to look up the details manually and helps ensure accuracy.

Yes. You can create profiles for other drivers in your household, for example a spouse or named driver. Each profile is completely independent and can be used to autofill separately.

The free plan includes: one saved profile, autofill on all 12 supported sites, unlimited autofill uses, and UK data storage. There is no time limit on the free plan.

Ryda Pro (£2.99/month) adds: unlimited saved profiles, renewal reminder notifications, and priority customer support. All free plan features are included.

Currently Ryda Pro is billed monthly at £2.99. An annual plan with a discount is on our roadmap. Sign up to our newsletter to be notified when it launches.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings in the dashboard. Your Pro features will stay active until the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again.

Yes. If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days of subscribing to Pro, contact hello@ryda.co.uk and we will issue a full refund with no questions asked.

We do not currently offer a specific student discount, but the free plan is available to everyone with no time limit. If you have a specific request, reach out to hello@ryda.co.uk.
